Overview

S601 MIDI Patchbay is an active MIDI patchbay with 3 independent channels. Each channel splits 1 MIDI input to 2 independent outputs with active buffering and photocoupler isolation for noise reduction*.

Key Features:

  • Active buffer for strong impedance immunity
  • Photocoupler isolation reduces ground loop noise*
  • 3 completely independent channels

Important Notes

Power Connection

• S601 requires Eurorack ±12V bus power

• Connect so the red wire on the bus power connector indicates the -12V side. Reversed connection will damage the module

• Always verify polarity before connecting

OUT Connection

• Do not connect OUT1 and OUT2 to each other (back-drive risk)

• Do not connect both outputs to the same device (signal contention)

• Connect each output to a separate MIDI receiver

Setup

  1. Power OFF the Eurorack system
  2. Mount S601 in your case
  3. Verify bus power connector polarity (red wire = -12V side)
  4. Connect the 16-pin power cable
  5. Power ON

MIDI Connection

  1. Connect MIDI source to desired CH In
  2. Connect CH Out1 and Out2 to separate MIDI receivers
  3. Verify Switch matches your cable standard
  4. Send MIDI data and verify both outputs respond

MIDI Connection Method

One MIDI controller can control multiple synthesizers simultaneously. Each CH can distribute MIDI data to two separate devices independently.
